Overall, Mapleton’s housing market is extremely healthy. It is a rural community situated between the Hobble Creek and the Spanish Fork River. It was first settled back in 1850 named Union Bench. It was originally an extension of the farming town of Springville. After years of fighting over water rights, Mapleton finally branched out on its own in 1901. It wasn’t incorporated until 1948.
